It wasn't perfect, it wasn't bad. It was good. Friendly stuff, the atmosphere is really good. Waited for our meal really too long, and even gulasz tasted lovely, it was cold. Overall, it was a nice one-time experience
I loved the ambience of this place. Heavy on the nature vibes. There were even recordings of birds chirping playing in the bathroom! I can’t remember everything we ordered but one was the plaztki and all of it was delicious! We weren’t a huge fan of the cocktails but the food was 10/10!
My sister took me here for the first time yesterday and it was 10/10 experience. From the moment we walked in, George was smiling and welcomed us - his service was great throughout the evening. The food was also fabulous - I would highly recommend this place.
A charming little restaurant with beautiful, wholesome, Polish food. The service was excellent too, the team were super friendly and very keen to chat! The food arrived promptly and everything was clearly freshly made and tasted delicious. We had starters and mains washed down with honey beer (yum!) and finished off with homemade Polish cakes. The portions were generous too. I would definitely go back, we had a great experience.
We’ve walked past Platzki many times. Not because we didn’t like the look of it - more because it doesn’t stand out in the parade of shops and bars adjoining it. This time however, their door was open and the aroma of delicious food captured us. It was an impromptu meal so we didn’t order much - but what we ate, was a lovely modern expression of Polish comfort food. The beef and dumpling stew was more like a consumé with a silky, filled pasta. The beef filling was flavoured with herbs and, I believe parsnip. Along side this, we ate mackerel and beetroot served on a potato rosti - or ‘Platzki’! Superb. We shared a main course plate duck dumplings, served in a light meat jus / sauce affair. The duck filling was soft and succulent. This was all washed down with a bottle of Riesling. Just when I thought I was done, our server hit me with a sucker punch - ‘how about trying our apple cake for dessert?’ Go on then. I was not disappointed - beautifully spiced apple filling with a pastry bottom and crumble top. More a pudding than cake and all the better for it.
